The five things that go wrong here
- Condensate drain blockages — 42 jobs. Our single most common Boynton call. Warm, humid air plus a long horizontal drain run equals algae. The float switch then shuts the system down, and the homeowner thinks the AC has died.
- System replacement — 36 jobs. Many of the west-side homes were built in one wave, so their original systems are now reaching the same age at the same time.
- Maintenance visits — 30 jobs on the $200/year, two-visit plan.
- Refrigerant leaks — 14 jobs. We leak-test rather than just recharge — a system that lost its charge once will lose it again.
- Electrical components — 13 jobs (capacitors, contactors, high-voltage starter groups), plus 12 thermostats and 11 indoor-air-quality installs (UV lamps at the coil, media filter cabinets).
What a Boynton Beach job costs
- Repair and service visits: median $300, with the usual range about $200–$495.
- System replacements (19 jobs above $5,000): median about $7,440; the range we have actually invoiced runs $5,639 to $22,000 for a large multi-zone home.
- Diagnostic $49, credited to the repair when you approve it the same visit.
Financing with 0% APR on qualifying credit is available for replacements.
July is brutal here — and it shows in our calendar
Boynton is our sharpest seasonal city: 69 jobs in July, 46 in May, 45 in August, against 10–11 in September, October and December. That July spike is almost entirely emergency repair. Booking a tune-up in March or April is the practical way to stay out of that queue.
Condo and HOA work in Boynton
A good share of the 33472 and 33437 communities have association rules about equipment placement, screening and work hours. We handle the paperwork, pull the Palm Beach County permit and schedule the inspection. For common-area and clubhouse equipment see commercial HVAC.
Boynton Beach FAQ
How quickly can you get to 33472?
West Boynton is 15–20 minutes from our Boca Raton base and we are there most days. Same-day is normal on weekdays; in the July peak we may be booking the next morning, and we will say so rather than leave you waiting.
My system freezes up in the afternoon and thaws overnight. What is it?
Almost always low refrigerant charge or restricted airflow — a dirty filter, a blocked return, or a failing blower. It needs measuring, not guessing: that is what the $49 diagnostic buys.
Do you install UV lights and better filtration?
Yes — 11 of our Boynton jobs were exactly that. In this climate a UV lamp at the evaporator does real work against the mould that grows on a wet coil. See indoor air quality.
Is there a discount for seniors?
Yes, 15% off labour for residents 55+ — relevant in a lot of Boynton communities. Mention it when you book.
What is the warranty?
Two years on our labour; equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty, up to 12 years on qualifying systems.
Reviews
“Oleg did NOT try to sell me a new a/c unit like another place recently attempted to do, although he could have because my unit is 10 years old. He told me it’s running fine, aside from the drain line issue which he was able to quickly resolve.” — Jessica M., Thumbtack
